When I took over brand management duties for Modern Machine Shop, we lacked a video component to our media offerings. The crux of Modern’s coverage was showing the audience how actual machine shops are utilizing technology. Turning that idea into a video was the best way to stay true to the core of the brand and still offer expanded options. We took the name from a long-running column in the magazine and created “The View From My Shop” as a series.
I led a development team and worked with clients and members of our audience to create the shop tour series. The work was very hands on with me responsible for content creation, production coordination and promotion of the series.
